Molasses Handling for Animal Feed

Molasses is an often-used feed ingredient and palatant which provides energy, can increase feed intake and bind dusty raw materials. Molasses is however a thick viscous syrup which can be difficult to handle with poor flowability particularly if the brix is too high and the molasses is not heated. This causes problems dosing the molasses to the feed and then caking, clumping and balling of the feed in the mixer and at the client.

A liquid surfactant for improved mixing and handling characteristics in molasses in animal feed production. Liquilass alters the surface properties of molasses and effectively solubilises and holds impurities in solution which allows the molasses to flow freely. This will reduce caking and lumping in the feed and keeps mixers and augers cleaner where molasses is used.
